COMMISSIONING A PORTRAIT

The process begins with photographic reference. This may be supplied by the owner, or depending on accessibility, taken by the artist. Themes, backgrounds, sizing, are discussed, and a price agreed upon. Sketches are submitted for approval, prior to the commencement of the final painting. Works are oil on board. A lead time of 4-6 weeks is required for drying time. Some exceptions are possible.

PRICING GUIDE

Paintings are oil on board, finished with a 30mm backing frame. Works can be framed by arrangement.

Starting prices, are based on head and shoulders with plain background.                                                                                                                                                                           

Small eg 20 x 24cm $420

Medium eg 30 x 36cm $510                                                                                                                                                  

Large eg 40 x 50cm $680

Please note this pricing is a guide and includes a simple plain background. For detailed backgrounds please include approx 20% increase. Different scenarios may require specific dimensions, any sizing can be discussed.
