The Story of Jax ...                                                                                                                  Jax is the quintessential man's best friend, truly. Doted on by his owner he is a constant companion.  One day while the man & his dog were on their way home they came across a woman in distress, crying over a dying bird which she'd found on the nature strip. It was over this tender moment of shared concern that a romance was ignited. Sadly the bird did not survive but the relationship does, Jax now sharing his life with the man, his wife & a new baby!

This portrait was commissioned by friends of the couple for a wedding gift. Given the romantic back story Jax needed to be accompanied by a dramatic sky, posing in the tradition of a formal portrait, with the memory of the perished bird, responsible for the couples union, lying peacefully in the background.
